Question: Who’s got two thumbs and is going to have a review of T-Mobile’s new Sidekick LX on or about May 12th?
Answer:
This guy. (You can’t see my thumbs because they’re busy holding the camera phone.)
Sidekick Coming SOON?!?!
I remember saying something about loving the Sidekick and then changing my mind when I was on a drive and didn’t have my Google Maps, but I can still be as excited as anything about the new Sidekick.
Last week, hiptop3 mentioned a May release date for this new Sidekick, citing 13 May 2009. The current Sidekicks on T-Mobile.com have also dropped in price, which means they’re trying to clear out the old, obsolete stock, to make room for the new ones.
I’m still debating between CrackBerry and Sidekick, as I just loved the damn thing’s interface, and the awesome robotic noises it made whenever I opened it. Plus, if Hiptop’s people are right in saying Google Maps on the [new] Sidekick, I’m going to definitely lean towards the new Sidekick. For sure. Most definitely.
Totally.
I guess I better make a decision soon, if I expect to be one of the first people to be awesome!
T-Mobile + Android = Happy New Things!
The Channel Wire reports today that T-Mobile plans to launch a home-based phone on the Android OS, as well as a Tablet PC, both some time this year. It makes me glad I waited to get a home phone service at home. Maybe I’ll check out this alleged home phone upon its release.
In other news, since HTC, the people who made the T-Mobile Dash, are also releasing more phones on the Android platform, I think I have to widen my scope of awesome cell phones. Do I want to stick with RIM, get a new BlackBerry; go back to Danger and their Sidekicks; or try out HTC again?
They did have the G1, whose design did not appeal to me, but it’s still a cool phone. But in case anyone’s wondering, I think I will stick with BlackBerries if the new Sidekick doesn’t have Google Maps. or Twitter.
Your thoughts?
