Another useful iPod app

From CNET: You can go to the iTunes store, get this new application for your iPod Touch, attach it to your gun, and it’ll help you shoot better.

Someone get me an iPod Touch and a Walther P99 and hope that it the blowback doesn’t mess up my iPod. Thanks.

Demise of the iPod?

Content Quake has a story about the iPod that has me sad. Granted, it’s two months old, but I just found the site. CQ says that because of the cell phones that can double as MP3 players—proven, ironically, by Apple’s iPhone—the iPod is no longer necessary.I don’t really want to get an iPhone. But, I will be sad when Apple announces they will no longer be making iPods. I still whip out the old 2G, 20GB iPod, when it’s been charged, and go for a round of bad music. I’m so glad it doesn’t have the stuff from the 90’s. What was I thinking, listening to bad techno music? I must have gotten in with the Azn crowd, I guess. The most exciting part of the CQ article, to me, is the mention of hard drives in cars to play all your MP3s. That would be totally sweet.

Old iPod

I dug up my old iPod last week, charged it on the desktop computer [my laptop doesn't have the right FireWire connector] and this morning plugged it in. After five minutes the battery was dying. Looks like it’s time to set the thing aside. but, here’s the weird thing, and I will go into more detail tonight . . . .

Well, I guess it’s not so weird, but the second song to play out of the blasted machine was Justin Timberlake, “Like I Love You.” First off, I’m wondering what the hell that’s doing on my iPod. Pete Yorn and Counting Crows I can deal with. But Justin Timberlake???

Tonight I’m going to do that “twenty songs on shuffle” thing, see what comes up. Stay tuned, readers! And in the meantime, here’s something below the cut to keep you occupied.
