3×07: Joe’s First Time
Jay invited Joe to do some podcasting and found out that he’d never podcasted before! Nick joins the two and something ensues.
Two callers, Jon Tilton and Shazz, leave their thoughts on About 12 Minutes as well.
There are a few tangents here and there, like Nicholas getting in his two cents on Angels and Demons, and Joe wanting Chinese food, and Twitterbots, but the main thing to remember about the show is this:
Jay says:
It was fun having these guys on, even though Joe kept making weird noises that I had to delete or whatever. And no, this show is not edited.
Nick says:
We went off-track from the very beginning, and that’s pretty fun. Random chaos is just how I like to roll. I also like how Jay beeps out his one swear, but me and Joe cuss with impunity.
Joe says:
(nothing yet)

Ok seriously, I thought the only flaws in the movie were the exceedingly corny use of the classic lines. The format of the flashback to Marcus’ sentencing was shittily done and could’ve been edited into the movie much better. The digi-arnold wasn’t terrible, but if they knew they couldn’t get his face just right… why do close up shots on it?
And lastly, I think Bale, as great an actor as he is, is too well established (see: The Dark Knight) to play a character that we’re all trying to “grow up” with.
I did like how he got the facial scar to match the second movie though.
And I hear James Cameron is either going to be involved writing or directing the next installment. Which I hope to god McG doesn’t destroy with his mancrush on Robert Patrick.

Hah. Here’s something interesting: t3 vs. t4

Interesting indeed… but I still think it’s wrong.
T3 was nowhere close to T4. T4 had cheesy lines in it only because it paid homage to the first two movies. T3 had TERRIBLE lines in it altogether. I felt like all the dialog was just fodder and every time Arnold talked it was for comic relief. There was no comic relief in the first two!!! For fuck’s sake James Cameron!! Myabe I don’t want him on the new movie, he does do the tv show… and that’s freaking terrible (from what I hear, I refuse to watch it).
Gah, I could make a two hour podcast about this movie if I really wanted to
