The Perfectly Sane Show – Episode 12: The Cop Out
Yeah so… Reid fell asleep when we were supposed to record and I was left with the option of doing a short a sweet show by myself or using some pre-recorded audio of Reid and I discussing the new Kevin Smith film, Cop Out immediately after leaving the theater. As the name implies, I copped out. The audio is a little janky (because it was recorded on my phone) but it gets the general point across. You can read my review of the film here, Reid says he is going to write a review. I’ll believe that when I see it. Subscribe to us through iTunes or listen to it down below.

The Perfectly Sane Show – Episode 11
I’m trying to get the show on a more regular schedule and I view this Episode as the new beginning towards that. In this episode we (myself, Reid and special guest Tommy_Arashikage) talk about the latest “big” Sony release, Heavy Rain. We discuss what we like and dislike about the game remaining relatively spoiler free and we also touch on the implications that the success or failure this game may or may not have across the industry. Subscribe to us through iTunes or get it here.
Music in this episode:
Rain – The Cult
Rainmaker – Iron Maiden

The Perfectly Sane Show – Episode 6
Not that anybody missed us but well we are like a bad penny that always turns up eventually.
The new episode is live over at Vagary TV.
In this episode we attempt to talk about Modern Warfare 2 and Andy wants to create a game where you kill Santa Claus while Jon single-handedly sets back race relations by 150 years. I honestly can’t believe I hang out with these dudes, let alone record an irregular show every once in a while.

Music in this episode:
Spoilin’ For A Fight – AC/DC
Fire Your Guns – AC/DC
Gone Shootin’ – AC/DC

——————–
If you are wondering why the show cuts out abruptly during the first segment it is because I messed up something with the recorder and the recording went FUBAR which is why a couple points of the show make no sense. Oh who the hell am I fooling, nothing about this show makes sense.
5×01: 2009 Summer Recap
Brady, Chris, Jay, and Nick sit down and talk about this year’s summer movie season. How did it turn out, did it meet expectations? That’s the first half hour. The second half hour trails into
I’m really happy for you—Imma let you finish—but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time. Wonnada best videos a’all time!
anthropomorphic fighting panda bears to the definitive Joker to William Shatner, Firefly, Jon Bongiovi, October road trips and the Renaissance Faire, and then ends with Nicholas Cage, and Kevin Smith.
4×07: Trending Topics and Guitar Heroes

Chris, Brady, and Jay get together for over 30 minutes of complete and utter randomness! Or so it appears from the beginning. Also, Nicholas pops in requiring you to buy something.
Topics covered this week:
- Bob Barker and Trending Topics
- Extract
- Gamer
- Jennifer’s Body in Jennifer’s Body
- Guitar Hero 5 andBeatles Rock Band
4×06: Summer’s Last Cries for Action

In this episode—which is not late like the previous episode—Chris, Nick, and Jay go over G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra and District 9, and of course go off on tangents, including—and you HAVE to hear this one—exactly how this G.I. Joe film was, “the best Star Wars film since 1983.”
Some of the tangents include Star Trek’s green chick, Goldeneye on the N64, and how Batman can beat God or Jessica Alba’s No Nudity Clase. And other video games. And Vera Farmiga.
In case you cared about seeing Orphan, G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, or District 9, see it BEFORE YOU LISTEN TO THIS EPISODE. We tend to ruin the movie for people who haven’t seen it yet.
Follow us on Twitter: Chris, Nick, Jon (thanks for calling in your thoughts to District 9, by the way), and Jay. And of course, About 12 Minutes!
GO SEE NICK’S BAND TONIGHT AT SOME CHURCH IN FAIRLESS HILLS or Levittown I forget which is which. [link]
4×05: Better Late Than Never

Today, which was supposed to occur about four days ago, Brady and Jay cover a couple entries from the blog, including Brady’s friend (pictured, right) who is on a VH1 TV show. And then there’s the mashed potato bar.
4×04: Contributions

- Urging: Moon [link]

Thanks to Nick, Jon, and Matthew (of Robots and Racecars) for all of this week’s contributions.
4×03: HPATHBP (Part II) / FD&RA 01 / KITTENS!
(please note that there is a moderate amount of swearing in this episode, so don’t listen to this around your children)

Brady and Jay answer their first FD&RA column question and then talk about Kittens.
And then, picking up shortly (about 2 minutes) after the previous episode ended, Jay, Vanessa, Nick, and Sarah with an ‘h’ tangent into fan fiction before getting back on track with Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. Beware, spoilers abound! [see the previous episode here]
Other tangents brought up:
- Harry Potter fan fiction and slash fiction, and Barry Trotter
- Nick’s blog entry he wrote early this week — 2012, Alaskan blob, zombie cart
- Hamsters biting fingers
- And somewhere in the background, Nick and Jay talk about Brazil, another movie Jim Broadbent (Slughorn) was in

- The Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings Trilogy
- What Sarah needs to make her butterbeer
- Matthew’s obsession with carbonation
- Penis-shaped things
Actual topics covered (something we should do when topics last more than five minutes):
- Age discrepancies between book and movie
- ALAN F**KING RICKMAN
- Scenes dropped from the movie which would have made the movie better, and Translation vs. Adaptation in more detail
- Having to pee during these movies
- Opening night and some of the weird stuff fans do
And at some point, Jay cackles in a very creepy way and then pretends to be Joe Edwards.
And then Brady and Jay debut their new advice column, the Friends, Dating an Relationship Advice Column. Call in with your questions at 484-994-2126!
4×02: Fictional Celebrity Deathmatch / Netflix WTF?! / HPATHBP
Our long title would have been longer if I didn’t shorten the Harry Potter bit. Our show would have been longer if I didn’t shorten the Harry Pottery bit!
Today brings Jay, Nessa, Adam (bulletproofheeb), Nick, Kati, and Sarah (whose ‘h’ I keep forgetting) into the studio-basement-cave thing to discuss as many random topics as:
- Who would win in a fight between ______ and ______?
- The worst ever movies you could find on Netflix
- Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince
This episode is so big IT CANNOT BE CONTAINED IN ONE EPISODE!!!! So, basically, stay tuned for next week when we continue the discussion. [part two can be found here]
4×01: Year One / Food for a Month

In the first episode of Vol. 4, Brady forgets to turn the mic on and Jay doesn’t wanna bother redoing the introductions. Then Brady tells you about Year One, starring Jack Black and Michael Cera, and Jay asks Brady an interesting question about food for a month.

3×08: EVERYTHING!
This episode is so long (almost 90 minutes), it took a week to get it online!!!
In this episode, Jay, Nick, Joe, and Sarah (who doesn’t give her name until halfway through the show) stay on topic for a grand total of three minutes, make fun of everybody, fight (and jay dies), and then we end the show twice.
To be fair, the first ending was a false ending.
Topics mentioned: Up, Transformers, glory holes, photography, luchador masks, Twitter, Star Trek: Deep Space 9, deep dish 9, comics, Drag Me to Hell, car names (I mean baby names), Baconnaise, Bacon Salt, the Munsters, the Addams Family, British TV, space, Adam West vs. William Shatner, and a so much more!
And then there’s a fight which totally destroys a mic cable.

The Perfectly Sane Show – Episode 4
In this episode we talk about what we’ve been up to gaming, movie and music wise as well as touch on J.J. Abrams involvement in a live action production of Stephen King’s The Dark Tower series and realism in sports gaming before cutting it short rather abruptly. Listen to it at Vagary TV along with other great podcasts like Game Seers and The Game Over Podcast, or download it directly from iTunes (rate us).
Oh and we also try to give away a crappy game that may (or may not) have been responsible for my 360 breaking.
Music in this episode:
Alive and Kicking – Mr. Big
You’ve Got Another Thing Coming – Judas Priest
Fire Woman – The Cult
