SO: a bunch of trailers were released over the past few weeks for some hotly anticipated movies coming out this summer (and beyond). And because we at About12Minutes are all about convenience and things that are awesome, here is an aggregation of the ones we found most interesting and/or noteworthy. Please enjoy this grouping of great.
IRON MAN 2:
This premiered on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show immediately after the Academy Awards. It is, in all honesty, completely awesome. Two words for you: “suitcase” and “armor”. Deal with it, nerds, it’s going to be GREAT.

THE LOSERS:
Another comic-based property, The Losers is based on the Vertigo mini-series by Andy Diggle & Jock. It looks like a cross between Ocean’s 11 and The A-Team (also coming to theatres soon). Jeffrey Dean Morgan looks like a lot of fun in it, and Zoe Saldana… mm. She certainly is volatile.

TRON: LEGACY:
The original Tron was groundbreaking in its use of computer graphic effects, and this sequel looks to up the ante on it again. Shot in 3D (NOT upconverted like many of the current offerings in the format), and starring Jeff Bridges, it looks amazing, and in one quick flash, you can see what looks to be a Tron David Bowie. SOLD!

ECLIPSE:
This movie looks terrible. Taylor Lautner is the worst actor ever. But I suppose people want to see it because some guys take their shirts off, and there’s vampires in it. Whatever. (Is our apathy to this showing?) If you’re in bed for the Twilight phenomenon so far, you’ll be doing this as well.

SCOTT PILGRIM VS THE WORLD:
Scott Pilgrim is an amazing graphic novel series, and this movie, directed by Edgar Wright (who was behind such awesomeness as Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and Spaced), looks to do it justice in it’s greatness. The amount of sheer fun and goodness in this trailer cannot be properly quantified. You just need to watch it. Repeatedly. Until the movie is released in August.
