And as to downloading a browser without a browser, have you ever heard of FTP? That’s how people used to transfer files. It stands for “File Transfer Protocol.”

Yes, I’m aware of whom I am telling this. And yes, I’m aware I’m a jerk.

Anyway, retail stores and computer sellers, according to the article, would be able to install whatever browser they wanted, before selling the computer, if they wanted to, so one wouldn’t have that download-broswer-withour-browser problem.

But yes, I considered that minor no-browser point too.

I’m already on 7 RC.

How the hell are you supposed to go out and get FF or Opera or something else if you don’t have a browser for those with only the ONE computer?

So, I gotta say. I just installed Opera on a whim, and I think I like it more than even Firefox! I’m going to have to give it a longer whirl, but I’ll get back to you.

I may have just found my new favorite browser!
