I judge movies based upon many things such as directors, actors, music, mood, plot(s), etc. If any one or more of these pieces should be weaker or stronger than the others, it can throw off the whole film. It is the difference between a movie I want to see again and a movie I won’t waste my time on a second time. Then there are subcategories: movies I’ll buy when they come to dvd and movies I might watch when they come out on cable in which case I won’t buy.
Great movies I have or would like to have on dvd are: A Knight’s Tale, Ever After, The Wedding Singer, Little Women, Gone With The Wind, Fiddler on The Roof, Phantom of the Opera, Titanic, You’ve Got Mail, The Little Shop Around the Corner, Bend it Like Beckum, Breakfast Club, 16 Candles, Grease, Fight Club, The Fast and the Furious, Star Wars, James Bond, Oceans 11, 12, 13, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Meet Joe Black, A River Runs Through It, 13 Going on 30, The Birdcage, 50 First Dates, The Aviator, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Circle of Friends, Dead Poets Society, Forest Gump, My Fair Lady, Sound of Music, Good Will Hunting, Father’s Day, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Silence of the Lambs, Pretty in Pink, Mr. Holland’s Opus, Meet Me in St. Louis, Wizard of Oz, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Ray, Raising Helen, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, Shall We Dance, Spider Man, Some Like It Hot, Superman, The Incredible Hulk, Sweet Home Alabama, To Kill a Mockingbird, Wedding Crashers, Walk the Line, Batman, Center Stage, Where the Heart Is, etc….
Thanks, I know I have good taste.
Sorry, I can’t keep track of movies unworthy of my time…. {yawn}
